TITLE Maintenance Technician POSITION OVERVIEW In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment is operating efficiently and safely, so that products can meet our high-quality standards.
You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that is dedicated to excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical systems as needed Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Document maintenance activities Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements Train other employees on maintenance Train new Machine Operators Respond to emergency situations in accordance with maintenance protocol Responsible for basic facilities repairs (basic plumbing, piping, and mechanical repairs) Sourcing and supervising third party contractors with advanced HVAC, plumbing, and electrical skills, when necessary.
WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL This role is an on-site position.
oTravel of less than 20% range is expected.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in a maintenance role Strong mechanical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong safety mindset and commitment to safety-first culture Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required Attention to detail:
maintenance issues must be documented and reported Able to confidently solve complex problems quickly, while controlling costs Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds unassisted MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS oKnowledge of materials, methods, and the tools used to perform job duties in area of expertise.
oGeneral knowledge of multi-craft maintenance oAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions oAbility to work in a safe, efficient manner oMust have a valid Driver's License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sitting, standing, walking, driving, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift.
